Ping! training is offered by Communautique (in French only), an organization whose mission is to democratize the use of digital technologies. It is offered free of charge through the financial contribution of the Gouvernement du Québec.
Any adult may participate in the Ping! training:
Ping! training teaches you, for example, how to navigate the Web, understand and adequately use social media, and conduct online transactions while protecting your digital identity.
If you wish to participate, you may register for all modules or only the one you are interested in, among the six that are offered:
Each module lasts 3 hours.
Register with Communautique by calling 1 877-948-6644, extension 222 (toll free).
Individual online guidance or online lessons in groups of 5 to 7 people are offered.
In cities where Ping! training is provided on site,* you may receive individual, in‑person guidance at an office chosen by the trainer:
Ping! training does not entitle a person to a participation allowance or a reimbursement of care or transportation expenses.
According to the government’s recommendations, in red zones, training may only be offered online. No training may be held in Services Québec offices or in local employment centres. The training or guidance held in person may only be offered in the offices of Communautique’s partners, if applicable. Compliance with social distancing and public health rules is mandatory at all times.
