    Action is a social assistance and support program designed for recipients of last-resort financial assistance who face obstacles to entering the labour market. It is aimed at helping participants achieve their full potential and at preparing them to take part in an employment-assistance measure.
  • Assistance for persons with disabilities
    Additional assistance is provided to disabled persons to offset or mitigate the effects of their disability on their career choice, their access to training and their chances of finding and keeping a job.

    Two kinds of work experiences are offered to unemployed young people under the age of 25 to allow them to gain real work experience and confirm their career choice: internships and job shadowing .

    This program provides various activities for persons who are looking for work: information sessions on the labour market, career advice and counselling, job search club, etc.
  • Employment Integration Program for Immigrants and Visible Minorities (PRIIME)Link to external site.
    The Employment Integration Program for Immigrants and Visible Minorities (PRIIME) is provided by Emploi-Québec in cooperation with the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles and Investissement Québec. It provides assistance for obtaining a first job experience in Québec

  • Job readiness measureLink to external site.
    This measure is for persons who are unemployed. It offers activities to help them develop the personal skills needed to find or keep a job.
  • Last-resort financial assistanceLink to external site.
    Last-resort financial assistance for low-income individuals and families.
  • Program for Young Parents – Ma place au soleilLink to external site.
    This measure is designed for young mothers receiving last-resort financial assistance who want to go back to school. They receive support to help them assume their family responsibilities.
  • Manpower Training measureLink to external site.
    This measure grants an allowance and reimburses training-related expenses to persons at risk of long-term unemployment.
  • National Reconciliation Program for Duplessis Orphans Who Were Residents of Certain Institutions
    The National Reconciliation Program for Duplessis Orphans Who Were Residents of Certain Institutions offers individual financial assistance of $15,000 to persons commonly known as Duplessis orphans, who were residents of certain non-psychiatric institutions.
  • Pregnant Minor Financial Assistance ProgramLink to external site.
    This program grants monthly financial assistance to minors who are pregnant and have no financial resources.
  • Québec Parental Insurance PlanLink to external site.
    The Québec Parental Insurance Plan provides for the payment of a financial benefit to any eligible worker who takes a maternity, paternity, adoption or parental leave during which the worker sustains an interruption of earnings.
  • RéussirLink to external site.
    Réussir is a social assistance and support program designed for persons with a severely limited capacity for employment who wish to have easier access to secondary-level vocational or postsecondary education.

    Student Jobs meets the student manpower needs of the Québec civil service, the private sector and municipalities.
  • Supplement to the Work PremiumLink to external site.
    The supplement to the work premium is a tax credit that has been implemented to help former recipients of last-resort financial assistance remain employed.
  • Support for Self-EmploymentLink to external site.
    This measure grants financial assistance to eligible individuals for the purpose of preparing a business plan, starting their own business or creating their own job.
  • Young VoluntersLink to external site.
    Young Volunters program allows young people between the ages of 16 and 29 to explore business ideas, organize services in their community or carry out personal projects.
