Centre de recouvrement

The mission of the Centre de recouvrement is to protect and recover the amounts owed to the Ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale. Furthermore, the Centre issues opinions and recommendations aimed at improving recovery operation, policy, regulation and legislation.

Centre d'étude sur la pauvreté et l'exclusion sociale

The Centre d’étude sur la pauvreté et l’exclusion (CEPE) Ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale is an observation, research and discussion centre entrusted with providing reliable and rigourous information, notably of a statistical nature, on poverty and social exclusion issues.

Directeur de l’état civil

The Directeur de l’état civil issues documents related to civil status events to Québec citizens—certificates, copies of acts and attestations of birth, marriage, civil union and death.

Emploi-Québec

Emploi-Québec is an agency within the Ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale. Its mission is to contribute to developing employment and the workforce and to combat joblessness, poverty and social exclusion with a view to economic and social growth.

Québec Parental Insurance Plan

The Québec Parental Insurance Plan is an income replacement plan that pays benefits to eligible parents following the birth or adoption of a child and helps to better reconcile work and family responsibilities.

Secrétariat à l’action communautaire autonome et aux initiatives sociales

The Secrétariat enables recognition of the contribution of the community and volunteer milieu. It also manages the Fonds d’aide à l’action communautaire autonome, which ensures sustained funding for community and volunteer action year after year.

Secrétariat du travail

The mission of the Secrétariat du travail is to encourage the establishment and maintenance of harmonious relations between employers and employees, and between employers and the associations representing employees. It is also to adapt labour relations administration and labour standards to changes in the needs of persons, the labour market and the economy, and to facilitate management of the workforce and work conditions. Lastly, it is to promote the evolution of work organization methods on the basis of the needs of persons, employers and the labour market.

Solidarité sociale

Under Solidarité sociale services, financial assistance is granted to individuals and families incapable of meeting their needs without help. Through active partnership, Solidarité sociale also contributes to preventing and resolving problem issues for individuals or groups in order to foster their economic and social self-reliance.
