How it works

To benefit from Ma place au soleil (MPS), potential participants must first meet with an officer at their local employment centre (CLE), who will determine whether they are eligible. They may be referred.

More specifically, the officer

  • evaluates the potential participant’s situation and overall needs
  • determines whether the person needs sustained support to successfully deploy the activities included in his or her action plan or path to employment
  • decides whether MPS is the most appropriate approach for the potential participant
  • provides the MPS participant with support, as part of an action plan

Income support

MPS participants are entitled to income support determined according to the Emploi-Québec income support policy or the Youth Alternative Program terms and conditions.
